The idea to create Matcha Forest was born in 2019 from Lena Kozhina's great love for matcha. She travelled to Japan many times and lived there for over six months, adopting the habit of drinking good matcha every day. 'Matcha is modern, healthy, and delicious,' – this has been Lena's favourite phrase then and now.
The next step was to tell and show people that matcha is a stand-alone product and also an excellent alternative to coffee. This way, we won the hearts of guests at many Russian restaurants, premium chains, cafes, and specialty coffee shops.
In 2022, we opened an office in Kazakhstan, and in 2023 – in Dubai. Our story has developed rapidly, but we have always remembered the values that have been with us from the very beginning: quality, honesty with our audience, and respect for the work of the Japanese producer. It is precisely thanks to their centuries-old tea cultivation practices and striving for the highest quality every day that we have the opportunity to incorporate these products into our diet.
Since the founding of the brand, we have been gathering fans of matcha tea around us, conducting educational activities in the countries of presence, organizing master classes, participating in festivals, creating a real expert matcha community.
