Uji-no-Mukashi is a high-ceremonial grade matcha powder sourced directly from Uji, Kyoto — the most renowned region for authentic Japanese matcha.

Refined and beautifully balanced, Uji-no-Mukashi combines pronounced umami with creamy-nutty depth and a delicate floral sweetness.

The texture is smooth and dense, with a rounded mouthfeel and very low astringency. Its flavour opens with soft creamy and nutty notes, followed by subtle floral sweetness and a vivid savoury umami character. The finish is clean, elegant, and lingering, making it particularly expressive when prepared traditionally as usucha or koicha, while remaining beautifully balanced with milk.
